Lower Dauphin Youth Football Association

The Lower Dauphin Youth Football Association, Inc. (LDYFA) is a non-profit association that formed in 2006.  LDYFA is a member of the Catholic Football Association (CFA), a local football league formed in 1973.  The vision of LDYFA is to bring youth football and cheerleading to South Hanover Township and surrounding communities.

Membership in SHYFA is available for all youth, ages 6 through 14, who are residents of Dauphin County and want to be a football player or a cheerleader.  Most participants are from South Hanover Township and the surrounding municipalities within the Lower Dauphin School District.  All administrative and coaching positions within the association are held by volunteers.  Football players learn important lessons of teamwork, sportsmanship, self worth, and a positive and constructive environment is provided.   Our teams consist of Smurf, PeeWee, Pony and Midget teams.   For any questions about Football, please contact

LDYFA brings to our young girls a youth cheerleading experience, along with a competition Squad, that is an additional squad to our regular Smurf, PeeWee, Pony, and Midget Cheerleading teams. For any questions about Cheerleading or our Competition Squad, contact Tammy at 823-7795.

LDYFA depends heavily on financial sponsorship solicited from businesses located within the Hummelstown and South Hanover Township areas, but also from others within Dauphin County and the state of Pennsylvania.  With the success achieved in just the 2006 & 2007 seasons, LDYFA foresees a bright future with many years ahead as a growing organization within the CFA league.
